And speaking of education, there’s a New Sheriff in town!

Her name is Dr Jen Gunter, and she’s kicking ass and taking names.

She’s got Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness company Goop in her sights and she takes exception to some of the products – for example, something that Vergo has also expressed consternation about – the vaginal steamer (that’s an easy one – Just say NO!).

And her vagenda (I love that!) goes way beyond the goofy mythology of coffee enemas, parsley inserted in the vagina to induce a period, zinc to increase libido, and vaginal tightening sticks … it just never stops. Her quest is to eliminate the bullshit and give women the ability to analyze the information they need to be in control of their health.  (1)

She’s my hero. She’s been a gynaecologist for 24 years… and did I mention a female warrior of some renown…an activist gynaecologist … it just doesn’t get any better than that for women’s health.

Grab her new book The Vagina Bible: The Vulva and the Vagina – Separating the Myth from the Medicine.

Every woman needs to memorize this cover to cover.

Meet Deborah Kerr. She's a huge advocate for patient-focused healthcare. After twenty years of store management in community pharmacy, and ten years of corporate management for independent pharmacy, she developed an itch. The more she scratched, the more it spread. Why does menopause take so many women by surprise? Why does it have the ability to impact relationships, and families, and workplaces. It's insidious. She found herself shouting, "there has to be a better way".
