The last we spoke I was speaking about Menopause and Hair Loss. This topic became a passion of mine through teaching for a major international hair colour brand and in the salon where I service colour clients 4 days a week. I decided to take this passion a step further. Sometimes we need to close a door to allow space for another to open..

After 31 years educating for said hair colour brand (in two countries, by the way, US and Canada) I retired from being a Colour Ambassador for Canada at the end of 2018. This was a difficult decision as I love hair colour and I love teaching. After a few months of enjoying my weekends and not flying all over Canada between taking my salon clients, I started looking for an accredited reputable Trichology program.

What is Trichology you ask?

Trichology is a branch of dermatology that deals with the scientific study of the health of the scalp and hair. A trichologist is a specialist trained in the diagnosis and treatment of such problems as scalp issues, hair breakage and hair loss. This is the perfect choice of a path to follow as I sought out answers to my clients hair thinning and hair loss issues related to menopause.

After much research looking for the best program I am beginning studies with The International Association of Trichologists. The International Association of Trichologists has been around for 45 years and has clinical training centres around the world.

I am looking forward to taking you along with me on my Trichology journey and sharing with you the information I learn so that all of us in menopause can have the healthiest scalp and hair possible!
